The CSC Scholarship is also known as the Chinese Government Scholarship, offered by the Chinese Government to international students who wish to study in the People’s Republic of China in the years 2024-2025. Thousands of scholarships are about to open in 250+ Chinese universities for students seeking admission to undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs.
A Chinese Government Scholarship with the China Scholarship Council (CSC) has presented thousands of scholarships for the years 2024-2025 and is now bringing hundreds of fully funded scholarships to more than 250 Chinese universities. Students from all around the world can apply for CSC scholarships by simply submitting an application form and fulfilling the steps below:
CSC Scholarship Award:
Undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students under CSC scholarships will get free tuition, accommodation, and medical insurance, with a slight difference in monthly stipend:

Application Form:
The CSC scholarship form must be filled in Chinese or English Language.
Recommendation Letter:
For application, you must upload recommendation letters from at least two teachers (Professors from your previous university). Send a color copy of the letter instead of the actual letter.
Highest Degree/Transcript/Diploma:
Make sure you get your diploma, degrees, and transcripts attested by a notary public or a lawyer before beginning the application process. Additionally, students can apply for scholarships through the CSC portal from December to March.
Note if your Degree is not Available :
- A provisional certificate can be used if a degree is not available.
- It is hoped that the certificate can be sued if the degree is still pending
- For application completion, semester result cards can be used instead of transcripts, but we recommend getting transcripts before September so you can show them at the embassy when applying for a visa.
- If notarized documents are not in Chinese or English, they should be translated into either language and attached.
IELTS and English proficiency certificate:
Students can apply without IELTS or HSK certificates, but providing them will be a plus. Students must present an English proficiency certificate from their last university stating that they completed their studies in English.
Medical Examination Certificate:
The medical examination form can be downloaded at http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina
Get the mentioned test done at a nearby government hospital. Obtain your picture stamped from the doctor and attach it to the photocopy of the form.
Research Proposal:
A 200-word abstract of a research paper should be attached with the application form for a MS program and 800 words for a PhD program. The abstract should be written in English or Chinese.
Passport and pictures:
If you do not have a passport, apply for one and submit it with your scholarship application.
The background of the pictures attached to the application form can be blue or black.
Police clearance certificate
To ensure the clearance of any criminal records, the police clearance form should be provided with the application form or at the time of visa processing.

- High-ranked universities will prefer a student with an acceptance letter from a Chinese professor.
